The objective of this lecture series is to provide students with a setting to enhance their understanding of the contemporary workplace and the importance of development and leading within it. After completing this course students shall have a solid understanding of dominant models that underpin developing and leading in today’s organizations, be able to employ these models for analyzing practical problems in the workplace, acknowledge the implications of these models for organizations and employees and develop a reflexive level of understanding of these models from managerial as well as from critical perspectives.

Leading and staff development is designed as a follow up to 433001 VO Organisation und Organisieren & Personalpolitik or a similar course offered by another university.
