This course is designed to introduce to the process of research in the social sciences and variety of research methods that exist in the field of organization studies. A key element of the course is helping the Master’s students develop their own research proposals, which form the basis of the dissertations they must undertake in order to complete the Masters programme.

We will discuss a couple of questions dealing with the purpose of research, its process and its objectives: What is research? What is social research? What does it mean to do research? What is methodology? How do organize the research process? Furthermore the lecture provides an overview of research methods in the social sciences.

The course will be organized as lecture, interactive sessions will take place.
