This course provides students with theoretical frameworks and practical tools to build an enlightened understanding of how to work entrepreneurially and professionally, in and with family firms, and manage the unique challenges and dilemmas faced by family businesses effectively. The coure prepare participants to address the distinctive challanges and opportunities presented by family businesses, whether their carrer path involve working in this specific form of businesses, consulting for them, or engaging with them in various capacities. 

A course on family businesses encompasses a comprehensive exploration of the distinct dynamics and challenges inherent to family-owned businesses. It covers a wide array of topics, including an introduction to the concept of family businesses, historical perspectives, an examination of family dynamics within the business context, strategic management tailored to family values and goals, governance structures and succession planning, financial management strategies for wealth preservation, fostering innovation and adaptability, analysis of real-world case studies, networking skills development, a global perspective on family businesses, cultivation of analytical and critical thinking skills, and effective communication techniques.
